Tennis shouldn't have to be complicated. And we believe playing it should be simple, accessible and flexible for everyone.
When we started Appeti in 1998, our aim was to make tennis accessible to more people. Almost three decades later, that same idea remains at the heart of everything we do.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy tennis, whether you're picking up a racket for the first time, looking to improve your game, or simply want to enjoy a friendly match with friends.
That's why we've always believed in keeping things simple. At Appeti Tennis Centre in Canterbury, there are no membership fees, no joining fees and no requirement to commit to playing all year round.
You simply play when you want to play.

Everyone plays tennis for different reasons, and we think that's exactly how it should be. Whether you want to play occasionally or make tennis a regular part of your week, we're here to help you get on court.
Want to play with a friend? Book a court and enjoy a game together.
Want to improve your game? Book a lesson with one of our coaches and work on your technique, confidence and consistency.
Want to meet other players? Join one of our Meet Ups and enjoy playing tennis in a friendly, sociable environment.
Want to introduce your children to tennis? We offer junior tennis for all ages and abilities, helping young players develop their skills and discover a love of the game.
Want to play regularly? Book the same court each week and make tennis part of your routine.
And if life gets busy, or you need to take a break for a while? That's absolutely fine, too.
There isn't a membership sitting there waiting for you, and you don't need to worry about paying for something you're not using. When you're ready to play again, we'll be here.

Why don't we have membership fees?
For us, it's about removing barriers and making tennis as easy to access as possible.
We know that people have busy lives, changing schedules and different budgets. Some people want to play every week, while others simply fancy a game now and again. Some are just starting out, while others have been playing for years.
We don't think you should have to make a long-term commitment before you can enjoy the sport.
Our pay-and-play approach means you can choose what works for you, whether that's booking a court, arranging a lesson, joining a group or getting the children involved.
It's a straightforward way to enjoy tennis, with the freedom to play as much or as little as you like.

Since 1998, our philosophy has remained the same: tennis should be open, welcoming and accessible.
We're proud to have built Appeti around that principle, creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved in the sport. From children's first experiences with a racket to adults discovering a new hobby, we want everyone to feel welcome on court.
You don't need to be a member. You don't need to be an experienced player. And you don't need to commit to playing every week.
All you need is the desire to give tennis a go.

Come and play!
