The Appeti Academy believes that elite and aspiring players should have the opportunity to progress their sport whilst continuing their education.

In partnership with The Canterbury High School the Appeti Academy allows players to combine their education with a full time tennis programme.

The Canterbury High School is 1 of only 14 Specialist Sports Colleges in Kent.

The academic needs of the elite performers are met in The Sixth Form of The Canterbury High School. The School has a large Sixth Form with over 200 students and offers a range of advanced courses and sends an increasing number of students on to university, particularly Canterbury Christ Church University.

The Canterbury High School has superior accommodation, excellent facilities, first class resources and continuously improving academic results.

As part of the Educational Academy all students will study the BTEC National Certificate in Sports Performance and Excellence. This course is the equivalent of two A levels on completion after two years. Lecturers from Canterbury Christchurch Universities Sport Science programme deliver the course. Each student that passes the course will be offered a place at the University to study in sports related areas.

In addition, students will be expected to study two additional courses that match their academic needs. These courses range from AS/A level, through to Intermediate GNVQ, AVCE and a variety of other vocational qualifications.
